Arabic Fonts and Arabic Adobe Acrobat

Arabic Fonts

Your computer needs two Arabic fonts: Traditional Arabic font (trado.ttf) and Traditional Arabic bold font (tradbdo.ttf)

How to place Traditional Arabic font (trado.ttf) and Traditional Arabic bold font (tradbdo.ttf) in Windows on a PC

Put the Windows disk into your computer CD drive
Click Start, the choice Programs appears. Highlight Programs, the choice Accessories appears. Highlight Accessories, the choice Windows Explorer appears.
Click on Windows Explorer
Windows Explorer appears.
In Windows Explorer, double click on My computer.
Find the CD drive.
Right click on the Windows CD in the CD drive, mine is called XPSP 1a_ENG_PER.
A menu appears.
Click on open.
The files and folders of the CD appear.
Click on the folder I386.
Scroll or page down the files.
Highlight two files: trado.tt_ and tradbdo. tt_.
Copy the two files (Edit menu at top of page, Highlight Edit, Copy appears, Select Copy) to the Windows directory on the local hard drive, which is probably c:\windows
Paste the two files in the windows directory of the local disk, (Edit menu at top of page, Highlight Edit, Paste appears, Select Paste )
Click on Start, the choice Run appears.
Click Run.
Open: box appears.
In the box, type cmd.
Click OK.
A dos prompt appears
Type the following command using the capitalization on your computer (capitalization must be exact) expand C:\Windows\TRADO.TT_ C:\Windows\Fonts\ trado.ttf
An expansion message appears.
Type the following command using the capitalization on your computer (capitalization must be exact) expand C:\Windows\TRADO.TT_ C:\Windows\Fonts\ tradbdo.ttf
An expansion message appears.
Now, these fonts should be installed in Windows.

To check that those two fonts are installed in Windows on a PC

Use two methods.

• Click on Start, the choice Settings appears.
  Highlight Settings,Control Panel appears.
  Click on Control Panel , Fonts appears.
  Click on Fonts, the names of the installed fonts appear.
  Traditional Arabic font and Traditional Arabic bold font should be listed.
• Open Microsoft Word.
  Highlight Format menu, Font appears.
  Click on Font.
  Traditional Arabic should be listed.

To download the Arabic version of Adobe Reader, go to the Adobe Web site, http://www.adobe.com/

Melkite Greek Catholic Church Information Center is dedicated to my cousins: Bucky (Richard C. Liles), Shirley (Shirley Jean Liles Buck), and Donna (Donna Bertha Liles Campbell). Bucky fell asleep in the Lord on Dec. 12, 2000, Shirley fell asleep in the Lord on Nov. 8, 2001, and Donna fell asleep in the Lord on March 9, 2020.
O God of all spirits and of all flesh, who have destroyed death, overcome the devil, and given life to the world: grant, O Lord, to the souls of your servants Bucky and Shirley, who has departed from this life, that it may rest in a place of light, in a place of happiness, in a place of peace, where there is no pain, no grief, no sighing. And since You are a gracious God and the Lover of Mankind, forgive him/her every sin he/she has committed by thought, or word, or deed, for there is not a man who lives and does not sin : You alone are without sin, your righteousness is everlasting, and your word is true. You are the Resurrection and the Life, and the repose of your departed servants Bucky and Shirley. O Christ our God, and we send up glory to You, together with your eternal Father and your all-holy, good and life-giving Spirit, now and always and for ages upon ages. Amen.
