Patriarch Visits Eastern US till Mid-June; Bishops Go to Lebanon for Synod in June.
His Beatitude, Gregorios III, Patriarch / Batriyark of the cities of Antioch, Alexandria and Jerusalem, of Cilicia, Syria, Iberia, Arabia Mesopotamia, Pentapolis, Ethiopia, of all of Egypt and the entire East, Father of Fathers, Pastor of Pastors, Bishop of Bishops, the Thirteenth of The Holy Apostles will visit the US from mid-May through mid-June. He will visit a number of parishes and address several conferences before returning to Lebanon for the annual Synod of Bishops of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church. His Excellency, Bishop John Elya and His Excellency, Bishop Nicholas Samra will fly to Lebanon for the Synod after attending the meeting of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, 12-15 June in Dallas, Texas.

Patriarch Gregory will also address the annual "Orientale Lumen" conference in Washington, DC, attend the annual Grand Prioral meeting of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem in Atlanta, celebrate the 100th anniversary of St Joseph parish in Lawrence, MA, and also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Virgin Mary church building in Brooklyn, NY. His Beatitude will also visit St Basil the Great, Lincoln, RI; St Elias, Brooklyn, OH; Holy Resurrection, Columbus, OH; St Ann, West Paterson, NJ; St Demetrius, Cliffside Park, NJ; St Ann, Danbury, CT; St Joseph, Scranton, PA; Holy Transfiguration, McLean, VA; and St John Chrysostom, Atlanta, GA.

His Beatitude will preside also at the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Priesthood of His Excellency, Bishop John Elya at the Annunciation (Al Bisharah) Cathedral on May 18.
